Yet, ‘net video enterprise, Blip.tv feels that content is “meant to be watched sitting on your living room couch with a remote in hand, right on your tv set.” That’s why it’s focusing on creating strong partnerships with companies operating in and outside of the web, to edit and distribute content via both traditional and innovative methods.
Blip.tv just announced a deal with Akimbo, “the first fully functional marriage of TV and the Internet.” Akimbo streams content via a media center PC or its upcoming RCA Player, available in November 2006.
