Hey! Nicole!!! Are you single? How about a date? Where are you located? I love to travel!! I am in Canada…how about you?

in February 6th, 2007 at 9:14 pm

Nicole, I love the way you say my name. I feel all… important.

Seriously, thanks for the coverage. The dust-up has settled down over at schlockmercenary.com/blog, but the core issue of Wikipedia’s deletion policies remains.

Poor “Cathy.” Always the butt of comic-strip metahumor. Maybe THAT’s her claim to notability?

[…] Events, Gary So it seems that the First Great Webcomics Wikipurge of Aught-Seven (hmmm, is this web-based video non-notable?) is back on again; Howard Tayler first raised the alarm on behalf of his BLC-mate Brad Guigar and others on Monday. By yesterday, strips were restored, then later yesterday more deletionists hopped on the bandwagon. So Byzantine is the logic behind this dustup that Tayler appears to be on the verge of a frothing, white-hot rage (please note that Tayler is about the most polite guy I’ve ever met outside of Canada, so frothing, white-hot rage needs to be read as in comparison to his normal, placid state). That was the funniest video I have watched in ages!!! Does Nicole have a lisp? What’s up with the hand motions… this is broadcasting, not acting. She reminded me of a drag queen excited to see a new pair of shoes! Take her off the air! Lets get professional and stop ‘trying’ so hard to be cute. It is NOT cute!

Coobear, you suck! Nicole is doing a wonderful job. You must not watch entertainment news much because this is how they make millions! Unlike you I’m sure…P.S shes hott and cute! NICOLE KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK.

NICOLE IS HOT! What the hell are you talking about Coobear? You know your full of shit because why didn’t you put your actual name by your comment?

in February 8th, 2007 at 4:45 am

Nicole did a terrific job… It’s not easy being on cam with an audience like coobear.

Reply to all comments: Mermie- thank you so much for your kind words your a sweetie! J Warren- thank you for making me laugh and if you ever want to visit KY let me know. Jonny Rey- Thank you as well, for being so kind. Howard Tayler- I like saying your name, it’s one of the easier names to say…P.S you are important! ha-ha. Coobear, Thank you for your opinion I appreciate it! To answer your question, no I do not have a lisp (this was only the 2nd time ever doing this so I am not perfect, Sometimes I can be to fast, and to country…but I am from KY…) As far as hand motions, I am told by my boss to move them and be a little silly(cute)sometimes to make the news fun. If you think I am drag queen-ish here, you should really see me when I get a new pair of shoes…wooh I am really excited, I love shoes! Coobear, if you have any suggestions for me please let me know, I would be more then happy to try and improve myself for you as a webpronews fan. JAKE K. Thank you for understanding news in the 21st century. Eddie H. …thanks…lol.

Nicole, you’re awesome! 2 pointers… when reading these comments and the communication starts getting negative, like Coobear’s, don’t even finish it, just hit Delete. And NEVER comment back to a negative critic. That just eggs them on to do more. As you can see by Coobear’s words, he just wants to make you feel small and introvert on yourself. There’s no positive criticism there (like what I’m trying to give you now :)
You’re beautiful, bright and cheerful! You’re delivery is perfect. If all news anchors were more like you, this world would be a better place. Don’t change a thing!

PS - Well done to the writer(s) too!
