Fast Search and Transfer (FAST) and InfoSpace have announced a partnership intended for providing an ASP mobile search service to allow carriers to stress more control over their content business models, while providing mobile search to consumers. The two companies look forward to offering mobile carriers increased practical, dependable, and relevant performance in a mobile search solution by combining FAST’s search software and indexing expertise with InfoSpace’s knowledge in applying mobile communications. FAST and InfoSpace gear their partnership towards providing mobile suppliers greater flexibility in monitoring the user experience across many areas and organizing business models that endorse their own brands and services. CEO John Markus Lervik of FAST searches for controlling each user interaction.

eMarketer predicts brands will spend up to 5 billion dollars on advertising by 2011, up from 421 million in 2006. FAST and InfoSpace will take advantage of these growth opportunities in the mobile search market, especially in the world of personalized mobile search and targeted advertising.
