You’ll never guess what Google found in their latest search… a 3-foot python! The giant snake named Kaiser was on the loose! It happened in the company’s offices in the Chelsea area of New York. Google has been known in the past to issue “fake” press releases as a part of the April Fools’ Festivities, but reports confirm the incident had nothing to do with the recent passing of the holiday.
Google released a statement concerning the situation:
“We are confident that we have the appropriate resources in place to resolve this issue as quickly as possible in the best interests of both the Googlers in our New York City office and Kaiser the snake.”
Trying to calm some fears… the company issued an email to the New York employees that read, “Ball pythons are nonvenomous and are commonly kept as pets.”
Needless to say…this story does have a happy ending. Google spokeswoman Ellen West released a statement to Reuters saying:
“We are pleased to report that Kaiser was located in the office, Kaiser was taken home by his owner and is no longer in the building.”
