I am assuming that everyone knows what a TiVo is by now - you know –the thing that you can record your favorite shows and watch them at your own convenience box… I’m also assuming that most people are unaware of the newest TiVo technology. These days, the power of technology is growing rapidly especially in the world of TiVo.

For the last year, TiVo, the company, has been adding some interesting features that take the machine well beyond its original function of recording your favorite shows. For example: did you know that you can now, send home videos and photo slide shows from your computer directly into your now playing list? Or how about being able to search TV listings at your office from your cell phone and command your TiVo to record any show or series even you only give it a couple minutes notice.

Think that’s cool? Well, what about this; with only a click of your remote you can find out the five day forecast or current conditions of where you will be traveling. Or let’s say you’re at home cooking dinner and you don’t have time to look through a newspaper to find movie listings for that night… that’s okay –with a few clicks you can scroll through a local list of movies playing, along with information and show times—- you can even buy your tickets right from your handy TiVo.
