Video will always be popular and powerful. It is simply easier to digest than reading or websites. Press play and let the content seep in. With other forms of online experience you have to interact in some way.
I disagree with the statement about youtube video, I believe many people are going to youtube for alot of different things. Online video is everything, plus product directly from us.
