Lack of Trust in Search Engines
The results are in for a poll created as part of Hakia.com’s program, “A Search for Better Search.” The poll was conducted to learn what users think of search engines and if they trust them. I think hakia.com needs to focus more on the quality of their search results. In this way they will become a lot more useful to the surfers.

You should take a look at http://www.linguisticagents.com. It’s a start-up company that has developed a natural language understanding technology that will be used in many applications in addition to search.

But this engine does not place cookies on the user’s computer (without permission) and they are the very first to do so. From the beginning Hakia had a different approach to privacy matters but for quite some time obviously this was not noticed by searchers. So their poll can be seen as a marketing effort to promote that search engine. [...]
