Microsoft Corp. filed a report with the Federal Communications Commission to petition to use the unused airwaves in 2009 when broadcasters move from analog to digital signals. However many broadcasters, especially the National Association of Broadcasters are uneasy about Microsoft’s attempt to use the open airwaves. The FCC now has to make a ruling on the subject by October.
