I agree with the privacy thing. That is a major issue and I think that perhaps the idea behind these companies sharing is wrong. Instead of the companies choosing to share the data, there should be a central hub where people can store addresses they want to share. I think the model that Plaxo has is much better as far as data portability goes concerning privacy and I think Facebook is the anti-christ.
Reading this makes my deiscnios easier than taking candy from a baby.

Data portability will save people time when they sign up on lots of different websites. Privacy should not be an issue because people give out information that they are comfortable to give out, be it on one website or a hundred.
