  1. No doubt universal search is greatly changing the way SERPs look.

  2. Greg Jarboe says:

Mike, you are a pioneer in web video — and those of us who have followed in your footsteps wonder how you’ve kept your sense of humor — because this stuff is hard. So, as an “homage” to the Web Video Guru of WebProNews, I’d like you to check out http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3XFbVLaO4jE. Yes, yes, I owe you one. And I promise to sing “Hail to the Victors” or “Sweet Caroline” the next time we meet.

I know its always a scary time for established companies when the rules change, but this really is great stuff. I for one am an SEO provider that is whole heartedly doing as much research and testing on the universal search as I possibly can. Video are killing it right now, images are getting traffic on their own, and social bookmarks are pulling in high traffic. While nothing has yet to catch up to the search engines in total, it was smart of them to integrate these pieces before they were passed by. My guess, I few of the top SEO’s will stay around, and several will refuse to change and be wiped out.
