My site http://www.business-trader.com.au has dropped over the weekend from page 1 to page 4 in Google.com for my main phrase ‘business for sale’. My rankings in Google.com.au have also dropped from position 2 to position 7 for the same term.

I have no idea why this has happened. I have been holding these positon for over 1 year and now this. I am very concerned. The only thing different I have done that I can think of is the fact that I added 2 more featured businesses for sale at the bottom of my homepage.

Could this have affected my search results?

All help is greatly appreciated.

Regards

watto

That wouldn’t have a negative affect on your rank. Maybe your competitors have increased their SEO efforts.

Also, sometimes when you change your webpage around, google will notice the change and you get shuffled around a bit. You should flow back to the top if this is the reason. Whenever I make an change to my page, it usually moves down a bit and then comes up again. I think google is just filtering through your changes and determining where you should be.

I have tried Google adsense and all these other optimizers but my rankings have not really improved.
our site is a specialised oil and gad press release site. We are targeting anyone concerned about the recent oil price increases which is having a serious effect on the world economy.

See new oil well discoveries and see how profitable the oil industry is.

How do we break the ranking ceiling.
