I would also like to add to this that you can set up Google alerts for your Domain name say for example I can set up an alert for my site Wildheart’s Works and set it to “as it happens” and get an alert in the bottom of my screen as I have the email alert feature also set up. This enables me to get real time as it happens information for the search words Wildheart’s Works and let’s me see at that precise moment when an article of mine gets picked up by the Google spiders. It also sends me a digest as to when anyone else mentions my sites name . Sometimes this isn’t always the case as you might get for example say if I set up an alert for Web Pro News I might get back a result that sends me an alert that reads somethings like this”Due to high gas prices people search the WEB for NEWS to become PRO active in saving money at the pump.” However, this is still something useful to have set up as I said it does allow you to have an additional tracking mechanism in place for your sites appearances elsewhere on the net.
