For me its blog blog blog, as for seo forget them do it yourself.
The majority of my online buisness is coming from blogs i have written.
Placement off FREE advertising in online newspapers in sections that are relevant to your buisness.
seo guarantees you nothing apart from parting with a lot of your cash.
As they say rome wasn’t built in a day same can be said about websites,
you just have to keep plugging away. I recently found a forum from BT
of all people, they have a membership base of 100,000 and growing.
Its for small buisness and websites to freely plug there site blog talk in their forum,
and loads besides. I have signed 30 people to my sit from there and the beauty is its completly free.
If you want to check it out go to my blog @ http:wwww.//bttradespacemembershipreaches100000.blogspot.com/
All the best Mick

I’m not really sure that some of the respondents fully understood the question.
Online marketing is all about having the products and services offerings seen, talked about and ultimately, found in as many ways, by as many people, as easily as possible.
Improving site usability and streamlining your shopping cart improve conversions, so focus some of your attention on that, but don’t forget to improve search engine optimization. Build it, test it, tweak it, then market the heck out of it.
When it comes to online marketing, there really isn’t a silver bullet. It takes a sincere effort across multiple venues, utilizing and focusing on methods that prove themselves most effective over time.
It doesn’t really matter where and how you get started, simply that you do get started. Use blogs, forums, your own FAQ, your own resource pages, directory listings (some paid, some free), yellow page listings, article submissions, link building, don’t ever pass up on a decent opportunity to plug your site.
How can you keep qualified customers and interested users pouring in from as many avenues as possible?
It’s dead simple!
Realize that most important aspect of online marketing is to keep your marketing efforts balanced and constant.

Good content should most important.
When WWW first gained popularity probably we all have tried some amateur moves by sending junk mails, spamming newsgroups with links or even write simple scripts to trick visitors by redirect them to your site.
All these may be able to boost the traffic for a short while, but in terms of marketing you lose your reputation. We would like our customers to constantly stop by recurrently, and having good content is the only way to achieve that.

Yes, I recall Abby Prince also. Congrats on the marriage. SEO and blogs are fine. I just think that one has to add content to their site. Ebay changed the rules in regards to sellers having items on their personal websites for sale. So, I am just making my site to enhance images for ebay sales as well as information for Star Wars toys and Star Wars miniatures collectors.

For me, customer relations such as followup and customer service is #1
July 8th, 2008 at 1:10 pm
1) SEO
2) Blogs
3) SMO
Next comes all other aspect, like web design, branding, value addition services, niche content etc etc.
Mere SEO is not the all which brings business but it is just the first step.
Another important aspect which most of people miss in the crowd of SEO/Blog/SMO is banner advertisement. They do attract a customers and bring a lot of traffic but you should now where to advertise and yes they do make hole in your pocket

We founded our online shop Societygifts.com in 2005, and like most new business the worry is how do you get those customers you long for, to make your business successful. There’s no hard and fast rule, only a lot of hard work and a clever approach. Today we are on the top of Yahoo and Google for some of the key phrases related to our business. How?
A,Good optimization of the site.
B,Constantly updating content on our blog,
C,Article syndication,

Daniel.

To my way of thinking, marketing, including online marketing, is about building trust and a perception of value in your brand.
In my humble opinion, the answer to this question depends upon your current situation. The most important online marketing aspect for you might be different for someone else. For example, if the online business were a bank, I would want customers to feel that their money is secure. If my business were an online retail outlet, I would want customers to feel that the product is right for them, that it represents good value and that they are safe to transact.
Then there are the more specific marketing activities, like those mentioned in the video. All of those activities are important, what is most important for your online property depend on your current situation and will change over time.
Thanks
Keith

The single most important aspect for a business new to Search Marketing is to develop an understanding of the process. Become familiar with the basics and then get started with a program you can measure. Contact a couple of agencies and ask them how to get started, compare their responses. Develop a reasonable expectation of what Search can do for your business. Don’t wait until your sales have fallen to launch a Search campaign, it takes time to develop an effective program, that contributes to your bottom line.

Whats more important on a car.
The gas or the oil?
There is not one thing that will make a business work by itself. It’s a lot like a car. Would you rather have a full tank of gas or tires?
