What’s Most Important to a Brand?

A brand is a vital part of your business. It not only makes your business unique, but it also establishes credibility. Which of the following choices is more important to a brand: (1.) Being visible to a lot of customers; or (2.) Engaging them?     I think engagement is the most vital aspect to developing a lasting relationship with a customer …. but in saying that it is equally important to the develop a brand by having high visability and open door policy …….

  2. Double edged question you have to be visible to engage a customer in the first place.

    So i would place my emphasis on getting visible first if that makes sense.

    I believe engaging is the most important. For instance, I am highly visible with my Youtube series “Rocking Fun Music”, but that does not engage the costumer, it only makes me more visible.

    I have a website to moneytize. the CPC, CPM and attract buyer did not answere my need.
    so i chage my mind. I wold like have advertiser In my site with paiment based equitably, minimum cost by day. I don’t want to work for nothing.

    Engaging the customer can be important, but being visible is better:
    you can’t sale to customer the product if they did”t know it before.
    when the customer look for product, because the need is there.
    The first role of publish is to make product or service know by the people around the word.

    Engaging the customer and building visibility are not mutually exclusive.

    You need to be always building visibility while at the same looking and learning at how people engage with you.

    If you look at a high street retailer, they do both, they have a marketing,branding (visibility) budget to get people into the shop and then they have a sales, customer service (engagement)budget i.e. to keep people in the shop.

    Online it’s the same approach, get the people in, then start working on what it takes to convert as many as possible to customers and to keep them coming back.

    Being bombarded with sales-messages today ,
    vistors & customers develop a degree of ‘Ad-Blindness’…

    Like :
    ‘Yeah , I see it… but I don’t see it.’

    So , the winner is “Engagment” :
    giving visitors & customers a positive experience.

    think engaging your customer is the most important because keeping your customer happy makes your business grow because you customers tell their friends about you and how well your doing or not doing as long as your doing A GREAT JOB you curent customers will grow you business like you never seen in your entire life

    I think few people will comment on this topic because on the surface it appears to be a fairly obvious subject. Perhaps the question falls a little flat too.

    It’s a little like asking: ” What would you rather have a well-known brand or prospects to sell to? ”

    My contention is like many… you want both. In the initial phase of marketing you have to get the word out on your product. Here’s the twist… you can actually get greater visibility by engaging customers.
    This is a key strength of viral marketing.
