Are you on a tight budget but need links? If so, today’s your lucky day! At the 25th Annual ACCM Conference, David Patterson of Elbrus Consulting tells MIke McDonald how to get links on a shoestring budget. He suggests looking through old magazines for keywords and if the site is helpful, contact the editor to ask for usage. Watch the video for much more including how you can use YouTube for branding.

It’s lacking the “amazing” - basic basic basic ultra basic stuff
to Avril:
I believe Mr. Patterson is talking about putting a link in the YouTube description. You can hyperlink externally in the video write up on the right of the page.
I like his YouTube tip, which is to contact the owners of popular videos that are related to your site, and then asking them to luist your URL, for a fee.
How would they actually do this? Would they add the URL to the video, or would that set their view counter back to zero? If not in the video, where would they add your URL?
Almost hate to see you give away such good link building secrets, but I guess we do need to share once in a while
Come on Mike take the pen out of your ear next time, LOL
