Jeremy hit allot of key points right on the head. The biggest is writing for your readers NOT for search engines. I do this. I am less concerned with what google may want to see and more so with what my readers want to see. Also there is so much more to monetization of your site bedies google adsense. There are may things out there like adbrite, different affiliate networks, paid to blog websites that you can really make a good living if you combine all of them instead of relying just on one of them.
