CES 2009: Keep Your Info Secure with Data Locker Hard Drives

Posted on: January 22nd, 2009 | 2 Comments

Data Locker is known for supplying the world’s most secure portable hard drives. Their secure drives are designed to give you a sense of relief in the event that your data is lost or stolen. The relief or comfort comes in the fact of knowing that your data is secured by an up-to 18 digit PIN number that has to be entered onto the touchscreen of the drive itself.

The 2.5-inch hard drive includes 100 percent platform independent security meaning that the individual device controls all security and authentication measures without any interaction from a host computer. Also, the hard drive contains hardware based AES encryption, brute force attack detect, self-destruct response and a panic mode self-destruct function.

The device is both MAC and PC compatible and does not require drivers, software, pop-up password entry screens, or set-up to operate. It features USB interface and power and USB Malware Detection.

Incidentally, Data Locker was honored at CES 2009 for its products by winning a CES Innovations award. Prices for the drives range from $139 to $399, depending on the model. For more information on Data Locker’s encrypted portable hard drives, visit their site.
