SES always puts on a valuable show in San Jose and this year’s event is no exception. The actual conferences kicks off today, but the event began yesterday with special training services from the Web Analytics Association, Direct Marketing Association, Online Marketing Institute, and Bruce Clay, Inc.
In addition to the typical conference activities, this year SES is offering a second show scheduled for today that will reveal top social media and video strategies. There will also be a Local Search Summit, which will feature Jason Calacanis of Mahalo, Atif Rafiq of Yahoo, Steve Stukenborg of Google, and Steve Espinosa of LocalSearchNews.
In the past, SES has focused primarily on the “doers” and not as much on the C-level executives. This year however, the show is dedicating an entire track to the C-suite.
As the industry has evolved, SES has evolved also to make sure its attendees obtain the most current and useful information. Matt McGowan, the VP and Publisher of Incisive Media, said that if SES didn’t evolve with the industry, it would not be capable of offering a true search event.
