At this point in time, most businesses realize their need for analytics. While it is important to know what your own site is doing, it is also equally important to know what the competition is doing. Learning what your competitors are doing right and wrong will help your own business grow and succeed.

As Aaron Prebluda of Compete.com tells WebProNews, your own analytics only tells part of the story. In order to get the full perspective of the market, businesses need to be informed on their competition and how they drive and engage with traffic.

Compete looks at clickstream data and puts it in a form of intelligence that users can understand and utilize. Their data includes what sites consumers visit online, how much time they spend there, where they go when they leave the sites, what keywords they use to search for, and more.

The more data you know about your competition, the better you will be at making effective decisions for your own business.

  1. It seems like Bud Selig’s stupitidity will continue to haunt baseball. The trial is set for April 5. Another baseball season starts with PEDs as a major topic of conversation. Great idea the Mitchelll report. It was supposed to put the Seroid issue behind us but it seems to have put it front and center, year after year…… :-)
