WebProNews had the opportunity to catch up with Kate Morris at SMX East. She shared with us a couple of tidbits that she thought were important regarding mobile and maps.

If you are familiar with Goodle AdWords, you know that there are automatic settings. However, there are certain ones that users should be aware of since they could have a negative impact on your ad campaign and your company.

One of those automatic settings puts ads into iPhones and other mobile devices. Although it may seem like a good thing to some, it is not if your site is not set up for mobile. Users should turn this setting off until their site is ready for mobile.

Moving on to maps, users should always claim their business listing through a company account. Many times, the marketing director or company executive will claim the listing under their own name, which could be problematic if they ever left the company. In order to make it easier for future employees, claim the listing under a company account.
