If you haven’t already done so, it may be time to clear your calendar in order to attend a conference running between October 14th and 16th. Rick Calvert, the CEO and co-founder of BlogWorld & New Media Expo, recently explained that the event should be quite impressive this year.

Calvert spoke to Abby Johnson at SXSW, and said that BlogWorld 2010 is going to be bigger than ever. He expects something like 3,500 people to show up, which will represent a huge increase over last year’s 2,200 attendees.

Also, in terms of specific individuals, Scott Stratten, the president of Unmarketing, is due to deliver the opening keynote. And Brian Solis, the principal of FutureWorks, and Chris Brogan, the president of New Marketing Labs, should also speak, along with a number of other interesting podcasting, blogging, and social media experts.

Then, if you’re used to attending conferences in boring towns and shabby hotels, here’s one other interesting detail: Calvert said, “We’re moving to Mandalay Bay,” which is his (and his wife’s) favorite hotel in Las Vegas. Plus, attendees will be able to get rooms with free Internet for just $109 per night.

All in all, the conference promises to be a fun and informative experience.
