At the BlogWorld and New Media Expo, WebProNews spoke with Paula Fellingham, the founder of the Women’s Information Network (WIN). She explained to us what the organization is and why it is important.

According to her, WIN is “the premier media and social network for women all over the world.” It hosts the largest gathering for women that celebrates the 100th anniversary of International Women’s Day.

These celebrations will take place in 10 cities throughout the U.S. and will be live streamed to 176 countries. The events hope to strengthen women by honoring the past, present, and future of women.

In addition, they teach women how to become entrepreneurs and create online businesses. Fellingham said this is especially challenging for the “baby boomer” demographic since they did not grow up with the current technology.

The WIN events strongly encourage online business due to the vast amount of opportunities on the Internet. Check out their site to learn more about WIN and these events.
