Foursquare is really putting pressure on other location-based services. The startup knows that the space is competitive but is working to maintain its leadership role by rolling out compelling products. At SXSW, Foursquare made several product announcements that showed it is serious about location.
Eric Friedman, the Director of Business Development for the startup, spoke to WebProNews and explained Foursquare 3.0, the Explore feature, Foursquare Specials, and the Ambassador Program. According to him, each of these developments demonstrates discovery, engagement, and loyalty.
“We’re still a scrappy startup… but we’re still very focused on the product and very focused on the best user experience and user engagement; so I think, as long as we keep our focus on that, we’re doing the right thing,” said Friedman.
He went on to say that the users could expect more products and programs from the company in the future.

I think this is a very lively interview,I didn’t know I was a mayor from being a regular at some shops next thing is to be an ambassador kind of add a feather to my hat! You guys are pretty cool and smart!
