During the month of March, Microsoft Tag brought in more scans than it ever had before, with 50 percent more scans than any other month to date. It also found that, in the past 90 days, the number of scans had doubled. In addition, the number of users has also increased 2.5 times.
“We’re really in the middle of what we’re seeing as a big hockey stick-like growth curve here with Microsoft Tag,” said Jeff Somers, the marketing director for Microsoft Tag.
Although industries such as retail and entertainment are adopting Tag, the publishing industry is still the leader of usage. According to Somers, these industries are finding that Tag gives them more opportunities for engaging with consumers.
He went on to say that Microsoft Tag would continue to develop new features and support to better serve the mobile tagging space.
