Photobucket has had a bit of a rocky history, but according to its CEO Tom Munro, the photo sharing site is back and ready for action. The company was acquired by News Corporation in 2007 but spun out from it in 2009. Ever since that time, the company has been aggressively innovating and developing.
At its spin off, it merged with Ontela, which brought a new focus on mobile. Photobucket also recently announced a partnership with Twitter that will enable it to host images that users upload. Munro told us that these moves and others that will come are helping it become a viable player in the photo space again.
Is Photobucket taking the right steps to turning its business around?
