Loading ...There’s a new social network on the scene called Anybeat. The platform is currently in private beta and is backed by former MySpace exec Dmitry Shapiro, who is also known for founding Veoh.
Shapiro spoke with WebProNews and said, while he is a fan of Facebook, he believes consumers should have an alternative to the social giant. AnyBeat prides itself with allowing pseudonyms, introducing users to new people, and not trying to be the global identity of users.
The real question is whether or not these factors are enough to pull users away from Facebook. Do you think they are?
Anybeat sounds like a great place to share and communicate without having to worry about people knowing your identity. I think that’s a plus compared to social networks that take so much of your personal information.
