GetGlue Proves To Be A Hotspot for March Madness Interaction (5:11)

With basketball fans showing their passion for their favorite teams, it’s rather obvious that March Madness is underway. However, this year, fans are finding a new way to interact with both their friends and foes during the games.

GetGlue, which is a TV check-in service that WebProNews previously told you about, has integrated the NCAA Men’s Basketball Tournament into its service. As Maya Harris, the Director of Business Development at GetGlue, told us, the integration gives basketball fans a 2nd screen experience to converse with other fans who are just as passionate as they are.

GetGlue offers users rewards or stickers for tuning in live to the games, which as Harris pointed out, is perfect for sports fans since they naturally have a “collector mentality.”

She told us that GetGlue has witnessed significant growth of the integration during the games and that the company plans to incorporate similar integrations around other events going forward.
