June 26th is Internet radio’s scheduled “day of silence.” The Radio and Internet Newsletter (RAIN) organized this event in an effort to overturn the increasing royalty fees. They are encouraging users who regularly listen to Internet radio to take the time to call their Congressmen in support of the Internet Radio Equality Act. SoundExchange endorses the fee adjustment saying it prevents royalty recipients from being overpaid and underpaid. Hear what RAIN’s Assistant Editor Dan McSwain and SoundExchange’s Executive Director, John Simson had to say about the matter, only on WebProNews.
