Last year, Nokia entered the netbook market with its Booklet 3G. WebProNews stopped by the Nokia booth to check it out at this year’s CES.

The device is small in size and has up to 12 hours of battery life. It includes Windows 7, Wi-Fi, 120GB of storage and, of course, 3G. Because of the 3G factor, users can stay connected from nearly anywhere.

Nokia said the device is “more than just tech specs — it’s what you can do with it.”

The mini laptop also comes with a suite of Ovi services, which includes programs such as Ovi Maps.

Nokia’s Booklet 3G is currently available at Best Buy.

Besides the Nokia N97, the company also announced a number of other products at CES 2009. Nokia’s overall goal for all these products is to produce simple and easy-to-use products for consumers. Based on the information given on the new devices, it looks like Nokia is meeting their goal.

The first device is the Nokia 1006. Although the video refers to the device as 1009, the correct name is 1006. This phone is the latest CDMA device offered for AWS carriers. It is lightweight and has a unique curved design that fits comfortably into your hand. The Nokia 1006 would be an ideal first-time mobile device.

The Nokia 7510 is another new device that allows for special customization and functionality. The phone is equipped with “magical lights” that are sure to add some style. This device comes with multiple colored skins for users to easily interchange and has a 2.0 megapixel camera. T-Mobile will be the exclusive carrier of the Nokia 7510 for the U.S. launch.

Drawing a lot of attention from consumers, the Nokia E63 will soon be available to the U.S. market. This device is great for texting with its QWERTY keypad. Other special features of the product include 3G network speeds, Symbian S60 3rd Edition operating system, and WiFi capabilities.

As an accessory to these new mobile devices, Nokia introduces the Bluetooth Headset BH-904. The headset comes with 2 mics and is capable of separating a user’s voice from ambient sound. Another really neat feature on this accessory is that it can be connected to 2 devices simultaneously. Also, the headset offers 5 hours of talk time after only 15 minutes of charge.

The last product to discuss is the Nokia 5800 Xpress Music. This is a full touch device with 8 GB of storage. The device also includes a 3.2-inch widescreen display and 16:9 aspect ratio. The speakers are surround sound to offer a good quality sound.

For more information on the latest Nokia products, visit their site: www.nokia.com.

Nokia turned a lot of heads at CES 2009 with its Nokia N97. The smartphone is part of the company’s N series of multimedia computers and is being labeled the “world’s most advanced mobile computer.” This flagship product of Nokia’s N series that is said to be designed for the “needs of Internet savvy customers” has a 3.5-inch touch display and a full QWERTY keyboard.

This phone brings out a new concept that Nokia calls “social location.” In this video, Laura Mitchell of Nokia explains how the device is equipped with A-GPS sensors and an internal compass to allow users to find and share their own location, update their social networks, and share pictures and videos.

The 16:9 widescreeen display can be fully customized and plays widescreen DVDs in widescreen format. The N97 ensures that all the regular tasks that you need to do such as emailing, texting, blogging, and posting can be done easily through either the virtual touch input or the physical QWERTY.

The smartphone holds up to 48 GB of storage, which includes 32 GB of on-board memory with microSD expansion. The battery life is reportedly capable up to 1.5 days of continuous audio playback time and up to 4.5 hours of video playback time. The phone also includes a 5-Megapixel camera with high-quality Carl Zeiss optics.

Last but certainly not least, the Nokia N97 is expected to be released to Europe and Asia during the first half of 2009 and then to the U.S. shortly after. The estimated price is $695 (550 euros).
