<p>Google&#8217;s CEO Eric Schmidt told Reuters that the company would soon have anti-piracy tools available, and that addressing those concerns was one of Google&#8217;s &#8220;highest priorities.&#8221; But those tools may not be the ones Google had promised were in <a href="http://money.cnn.com/2007/02/21/technology/googantipiracy.reut/?postversion=2007022122">development</a>.</p>
<p>The <a href="http://www.mercurynews.com/mld/mercurynews/news/breaking_news/16762023.htm ">Mercury News</a> reported Google has licensed technology from Audible Magic to detect pirated works. Media companies have complained that YouTube should have been using such existing technology already to keep pirated content off the video site.</p>
