It’s hard to believe this election season is finally drawing to a close. For some, Election Day will be the end of the road; for others, it will be just the beginning.
This election period has made history in several different areas. We’re not going to rehash all of them since media outlets have already outdone themselves covering that aspect of the election. However, the impact of the Internet and technology in this election is something worth discussing.
Many of you have been following our coverage of the online gambling saga going on in Kentucky. For a quick recap, Kentucky Governor Steve Beshear ordered the seizure and forfeiture of 141 illegal gambling websites.

With the election just a couple of weeks away, WebProNews caught up with Eric Frenchman, the Chief Internet Strategist for McCain-Palin to talk about remaining Internet strategies. Since the Presidential race is tight, Eric emphasizes the importance of geotargeting and microtargeting everything. He says this same principle should be applied to other campaigns as well.
Tension is continuing to build as Kentucky moves forward with its action against illegal gambling websites. As we have reported, Kentucky Governor Steve Beshear ordered a seizure of 141 gambling domain names. A hearing took place last week in which many motions were filed. Oral arguments are scheduled to begin October 7th at the Franklin County Circuit Courthouse. Watch as Abby Johnson reports.
